Vodka pasta

Have you tried vodka in pasta sauce? It really intensifies the flavors. However be a bit careful if you serve children. The recommendation is to make two sauces, one without vodka and one with.
1 red onion
1 clove garlic
2 tomatoes
olive oil
chili flakes
2 tbsp tomato puree
1 dl vodka
2 dl double cream
salt and pepper
400 g pasta, for example pappardelle
parmesan
Boil the pasta in plenty of salted water. Peel and chop onion and garlic. Chop the tomatoes. Fry the onion and garlic in oil for a few minutes. Add tomatoes and tomato puree. Fry for another few minutes. Add chili flakes, vodka, 1 dl of pasta water and cream. Add salt and pepper. Boil for 5 minutes. Pour the water off the pasta and add the sauce in the pasta saucepan and stir. Serve with grated parmesan.
