Shepard's pie with cauliflower
600 g minced meat
100 g mushrooms
1 carrot
2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp tomato puree
3 dl water
1 meat stock dice
1 bay leaf
1 branch thyme
1 large cauliflower
2 tbsp butter
oil
150 g cheddar
salt
pepper
Slice the mushrooms. Peel and grate the carrot. Fry the meat in some oil in a pot. Add salt and pepper. When the minced meat is brown add mushrooms and carrot. Add grated garlic. Add the tomato puree. Fry a few minutes. Add water, stock, thyme and bay leaf. Let boil for 20 minutes. Heat up the oven to 180 degrees C. Boil the cauliflower in smaller pieces in salted water. When the cauliflower is soft rinse the water off and add butter, salt, pepper and some grated cheese. Make a mash. Pour the meat sauce in a tray and spread the mash over. Add the rest of the grated cheese. Cook in the oven for 30 minutes.
