Finish Christmas tarts

29/11/2021

My grandmother always baked these Finish Christmas tarts for Christmas. They are perfect to bake this week since it is the Finish day of independence on December 6th.

Pre made puff pastry dough, plates or a roll

prune jam

1 egg

Bring the pastry out from the fridge about 20 minutes before baking. If you can't find prune jam in the store make your own. Boil about 12 prunes in 0,5 dl water. Mix with a stick mixer into a jam. Heat up the oven to 200 degrees C. Place the dough on the counter. If the dough is a little thick roll it a bit. Cut out squares of about 8x8 cm. Use a knife or a cookie cutter for nicer edges. From each corner cut two centimeters in so a cross on each square is formed, Put a little jam in the middle and fold one edge of each corner to form a star. Brush the tarts with whisked egg. Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes.
