For a few years I have spent Easter in Majorca Port d'Alcudia. My husband loves to ride a bike up and down all the mountains. Majorca is great to do this. It is also a beautiful place with very nice food and wine if this is something you enjoy.
In old Alcudia there is open market every Tuesday and Sunday from morning until one o'clock. On the market you can buy all kinds of fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese, local items, pottery, hand bags, shoes and handicraft. Buy assortment of fruit, vegetables and cheese to enjoy for a lunch picnic.
Stroll around old town, go into the small shops, take a walk on the old wall surrounding the old town and sit down on the square in one of the many cafes with a coffee.
Typical dishes to eat in Majorca is local fish and seafood, olives, dried ham - Jamon Serrano and local cheese and wine. Tumet is a Majorcan ratatouille with egg plant, tomatoes, peppers and potatoes. Pan amb oli is slices of bread with tomato paste and garlic, but the spread have different varieties in different villages. Majorcan wine have had an upswing in the last years. You can find good quality local wine. I enjoy local cava and red.
A short walk (3 km) from Port d'Alcudia you find Playa Alcanada. The beach it self is suitable for surfing. The walk there and the views is beautiful. First you pass an old tower, Torre Major. Follow the steps between the villas down to the sea side walk. There a lots of stray cats here, cute but don't be tempted to pat them. Eat lunch in the small restaurant on the terrace or enjoy your own picnic.
