Kuala Lumpur

In 2016 I spent a few days in central Kuala Lumpur. This is a great city for a food lover. You can find all the Asian food besides from the International kitchen. The hotel I stayed in was close to the Jalan Alor which is a street food market. This is very crowded in the evenings. Buy snacks, local street food, drinks or ice cream. There are also lots of other restaurants in the area. First (and last time) I eat deep fried shrimps.

Of course you have to go up the Petronas Towers if you go to Kuala Lumpur. I also went up the KL Tower. Not as high as the Petronas but I had the opportunity to enter a glass cube some 300 meters up over the ground.

Shopping can be made all over the central Kuala Lumpur but the best bargain you can find in China Town. When going to a new city I try to find a hop-on-hop-off bus. This is a good way to get an overview and find out what spots you need to go back to and what spots is best seen from a bus window.
