Falafel in pita bread
Pita bread is really easy to make on your own
25 g yeast
5 dl water
1,5 tea spoon salt
1 table spoon honey
2 table spoons olive oil
13 dl wheat flour
Heat the water to 37 degrees Celsius. Crumb the yeast into the water. Add all other ingrediencies. Knead by hand or in a baking machine until the dough is elastic. Let raise for 1 hour. Heat up the oven to 250 degrees Celsius. Split the dough in eight pieces. Roll every piece into a ball and roll to a flat bread of about 10 cm in diameter. Place on a baking tray and bake in the oven until they rises for about 8 minutes.
400 g chick peas in can
200 g green peas
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
1 table spoons salt
2 table spoon cumin
1 table spoon baking powder
1 tea spoon baking soda
black pepper
water
panko bread crumbs
3 dl oil
Use a mixer and mix everything except water. Add water until the mix is smooth but not to loose. Form egg sized balls and roll them in panko. Heat up the oil in a pan and fry the falafels. Serve the falafels in the pita breads with salad, cucumber and tomato slices, onion and kebab sauce.
