Crepes and birthday cake
It was my sons birthday today and he wanted crepes. So we supported the local creperie. The birthday cake is a recipe from my husbands grand mother.
Birthday cake
3 egg
3 dl sugar
3 dl flour
2 tea spoons baking powder
1 dl boiling water
Heat up the oven to 175-200 degrees Celsius. Whisk the egg and the sugar really fluffy. Mix the flour with the baking powder and mix the the egg and sugar. Finally add the boiling water Stir until even and bake in a greased pan for 40 minutes.
Butter cream
65 g icing sugar
1 egg white
100 - 125 g butter
1 tea spoon vanilla sugar
Whisk strongly the icing sugar, vanilla sugar and the egg white over a saucepan of boiling water. Add small pieces of the butter and keep whisking.
Icing
1 dl sugar
1 table spoon cacao
1,5 tea spoon flour
1 dl milk
2 table spoons butter
Put everything in a saucepan and boil for 5 minutes. Let cool.
Cut the cake in two layers with butter cream between, Add the icing over the cake and decorate with non stops.
